Default The 20 Derner

L-R 204 Ruger, 20 Derner, 20-250, 20-250 AI, and the 20BR

Just wanted to expose you guys to what is in my opinion is a really neat 20 caliber. It is designed by Doug Derner who I know a bunch of you know and others may have talked to him when calling into Hornady. Some of you may have had the opportunity to shoot it???

Doug did this 20 cal with the 40 gr V-Max in mind. Several years ago (or so) was the very first time I laid eyes on this beauty. I had recently finished my 20 BR and was in full swing in testing it out when I had the opportunity to pull the trigger on the 20 Derner for the very first time. The parent case is a 30 Remington.

Not only did I think it was really neat to have someone at Hornady who is enjoying the small calibers but it was really awesome to see how the darn 20 Derner shot at extended distances. As some of you know Doug has an accuracy edge at any distance with anything you put in his hands but in the hands of a guy like me I also found the 20 Derner was easily connecting on the long shots!!

Pretty cool round, hope ya enjoy it as much as I do!

Default 20 Derner

I haven't any of those so built one on the 225 Win. case for dogs works real well no exit with 40grs bullets at any range 50yds to 400yds so far.

Default what's the deal on pop up ad's here now???

Tonight is the first time ever I've had pop up ad's
on here.

Three times now in about 15 minutes one about 5" sq
comes on the bottom R corner. Takes ten seconds before
I can click the x and get it off.

Anyone else having this happen?

Thanks

Looks to be close to the 20x47 Lapua which can send bullets down range at a very long distance.
