Default Primers etc Sportsman's Warehouse - Logan, Utah

Quick heads up in regards to primers...

Last week, while looking for 209 shotgun primers for my dog training pistol, I was lucky enough to stumble on a few items at Sportsman's Warehouse when passing through the rural city Logan, Utah. (Ogden never has anything and what they do get is usually gone in hours.) After not buying any primers or powder in more than 5 years, I ended up with a pretty decent amount of several items they other day. While they weren't the cheapest I've ever seen and I had to pay sales tax, they were not the most expensive either I also did not have to pay shipping or Hazmat. They were $30-$35/K...I just don't think we will ever see the low $20's let alone teen prices ever. again...sadly I think this is likely the new norm.

BTW, they had:

209 Shotgun Primers
Rem Small Rifle
Rem Small Rifle 7.5
Rem Large Rifle
Rem Magnum Rifle
Rem Small Pistol
Rem Large Pistol

Federal Small Rifle
Federal Large Rifle
Federal Small Pistol
Federal Large Pistol

CCI BR SR ($53/K)

Anyway, I kinda have a number in my mind to keep at a par level for primers....nothing crazy like some...then just replace as available or reasonable price. I think I'm there now...especially with shooting less than I'd like the last few years. I admit though, given a chance I would pick up a few more SRP's & SPP's but you were only allowed 1K per type and brand. I will count my blessings and be grateful for what I have. (Now just need a bit more powder....and always bullets. I feel good about my brass for most things.)

Default Primers

Hazmat gets spread pretty thin when you buy 20,000 + primers at a pop.
