Default A moderate score today

With the shortage of components and the resultant panic/hoarding...stuff is where you find it. I stopped in a local shop today and there was a pretty good assortment of stuff on the shelves. I scooped up some to keep the live varmint rigs fed and watered (small and big varmints ).

Not wanting to be what we in Lower Dakota Territory term a' CPM' (Cow Pig Man), I left lots on the shelf for the next person(s). There was still H322, AA2520, AA2015, a large asst. of Hornady VMax and XTP bullets, and a huge variety of .30 cal. bullets all the way from the 110 VMax to the 180-class heavies.

Primers, not so much....

Good catch Al.

Let's see how close my guess is: $400??

Glad I got stocked up years ago. Not hurting
for any supplies. Mostly need to get out and
use a bunch of it up.

I picked up a pound of Ramshot Hunter the other day for $24 when I was looking for some RL-17 for a friend.

Club sold deceased member's components a while back. 1 & 1/2 K of CCI 300 primers in the green and white diamond sleeves. Going to load & chrono a dozen or so with 231/240 grain cast in the 629 compared to same with fresh 300s. Bet there won't be a discernible difference.

Al, afwiw...you had much better luck than me for sure. I just got back from my annual Pheasant hunt in Mitchell, SD starting from Northern Nevada. I stopped at two Cabela's (Mitchell and Rapid City, and called about every small town gunshop as I went through them on my trip. Even Douglas, Casper, Rawlins and a dozen smaller towns had no SRP's. I was really diasappointed! Evanston, WY has very good shop close to I-80 that I've been in many times on trips. No primers! I did buy some .17 cal 20 gr V-Max's they had. That was my entire purchase of componenets on the 3,100 mile rt. This primer shortage "seems" to be very serious. 410gauge

I seem to recall the same thing happened when Bill Clinton took office.
