Default Sensational Seventeens

Looks like Todd Kindler is now offering a sixth edition of Sensational Seventeens including 17 Remington Fireball and 17 Hornady Hornet.

Hope his loading info is better than the 5th edition some of the data for the 17 A/H was way over the top.

IMHO Todd has always loaded a LITTLE Hot--as with most writers their typewriters seem to load a little HEAVY--For entertainment purposes only

Any load data without pressure testing is suspect at the least. Kenny

He has and doe's, but he also, in many places in this books tells and warns to start lower and work up carefully. As so many do in their manuals. It is up to us to heed those warnings and not go overboard. But all in all, Todd has gave us a super kick start with many of the smaller calibers and new or updated cartridges. Bill K

What he said. ^^ All us small caliber aficionados (.17 - .20) owe Todd Kindler an enornous debt of gratitude. The man single-handedly resurrected the .20 cal. and made it into what it is today. He's done alot for us, especially .20 ca;. shooters.

He also shoots coated bullets. That makes some difference.

I have his last book and some of his loads say: "warm - be careful", "caution - hot", "caution - max", & "approach carefully". Seems like a pretty good warning to me.

His 17 Rem max load with IMR 4320 is 25.2gr and he cautions it. The next step below it is 24.2 gr. I've seen quite a few guys shooting 24.5, including myself. All depends on the rifle though I guess.
