Default S&W model 41

Probably a long shot but...
Does anyone have any ideas to help in locating some parts for the rear sight on my Model 41? The elevation screw and nut jumped ship recently and the parts don’t seem to be available from Brownell’s or Numrich Arms. Is there anywhere else I should check?

Thanks for any suggestions.

What about S&W? That should not be a controlled part. Also, try to see if any of the S&W revolver sight parts might be the same. I have not looked at a Model 41 for at least 20 years, so I may be off base.

First There have been at least 5 different styles of sights on the model 41's. There a version that looks like a revolver sight, the Keng, Millett, Bo-mar, and the model 52 style. And these are off the top of my head. You might try Jack First. If it's a Millett I have a few pieces, Millett no longer makes open sights. After that I'd try S&W. Try and let us know what version sight you have, a picture would help.

Default S&W sight

I’ll try to get a photo up soon.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far.

Above are photos of the rear sight on my S&W model 41. Not sure which type or supplier this sight is.

I have contacted S&W twice - they do not have sight parts available. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hmm, tried to follow instructions for CP photos but preview shows only faint empty boxes. Guess I will go ahead and post just in case the photos will appear in the actual post.

Well, that didn’t work??

If RareBear is showing Gary in Illinois photo it looks like you still have the elevation screw in the model 52 style sight. This sight was also used on the S&W models numbers 52 and 952, both target semi autos. I looked some but couldn't locate the sight nut. You might try asking this on RimfireCentral in the S&W 41 sub forum.

So, what did you do to get it to show up in your post?
