I have a 17 MachIV Improved AR upper, feeds just fine. I will see if I can find some pics from the last year or two. Haven't used it much, may be talked out of it if someone really needed it.

Shoots 25gr KG's very well with Exterminator. Had CH4D make some dies for me.

I have an upper in 17VHA which makes the 17FB/ MachIV case look like a monster...

Its not for sale though. Never. It's THAT cool.

I'm getting the feeling the .17 Rem. Fireball is not going to work in an upper.

Seems the next best option is the .17-.223. Just worried about barrel life and how to make the brass. Guess I could load it down to .17 Rem. Fireball speeds.

Ok, I'm going to show my ignorance here. I'm guessing Bowfisher that the AR in that pic is not a semi-auto? That your charging it from the left side bolt thingy growing out the side of the upper. Basically not using the gas system? I assume it's like a bolt action magazine fed repeater, just a little different in how you bring it back to battery. How do you get a upper receiver like that? I'm kinda liking that.

Adam Bentley made my upper a side charging design much the same. I won't speak for bowfisher but I was interested in his set up and spoke with him over a year ago about it. To my knowledge it is a fully functional semi auto

Default 17 Rem fireball in AR-15 platform

Adam Bentley can set you up with a side charging receiver/upper and you can also check out some at Midway USA, other than in some of those smaller wildcat cartridges. Bill K
