Ok, so I chambered a few empty Lapua cases in my rifle tonight. 2 of the 5 cases caused a sticky bolt feel when closing the bolt !!! Not terrible but definitely tight .
Todd K mentioned that the Lapua had larger case heads also . So am I going to be able to use this brass in my rifle even after neck turning !??

Lapua brass is a tight fit at the base on my Cooper recently rebarreled 20 VT, but it fits well in my custom chambered Sako 20vt.

Just one of those things, no matter how good the brass is, or brand, I bet if you measure those bases you will find they vary. Some will be a tight fit and some will be more loose. Once you fire form them too your chamber they will all start feeling equal. Bill K

Just be careful you don't bump the shoulders back way to much it will stretch your brass.

I thought of that , so you think I can go ahead and shoot this brass even though it closes with resistance ? how much resistance is TOO much ?

If you are going too do that extra step, then obtain a small base die and run it into that, rather than overcame and maybe push the shoulder back, which could cause you a headspace issue. Bill K

The answer is, Tight brass will not be smaller in diameter/ looser fitting after firing. Brass will not shrink.
