17 Vartarg
I have been trying to find loading data or any information I can get on the 17 Vartarg. My first thought was Todd Kindler, but his number has been disconnect. Can anyone help me, any info would be appreciated.

I would think about the same. But maybe start just a few grains lower and work up with FB or Mach4 load data.

Got a last edition of his '17' manual a while back. I'll look but I think he only had Mach IV and FB. 9th Ed Hornady shows minor differences in dimensions; lemme look in his '20' book and compare VT with FB/M IV and see what's what.
Also differences in powder charge. |

How about going onto the Hornady Reloading Data site and starting with the start load for the 17 Fireball, as it is so close to what the 17 VarTarg is ?
It has various weight bullets and load data with various powders listed. |

Same as 17 FB. Just remember case capacity can be quite different from one maker to the next. Im sure you already know this.
Im on my second bbl. The first one was a factory sps varmint bought in 2008. Love 17 FB. |
