We have about half of what you had in about an hour but it's about stopped. Don't think much more is going to come. About all it's done is put the deer in their beds. Not a dang thing moving. Hopefully it clears up soon. Last day here so it better happen soon or we're going home empty handed again. I pity a fat doe that walks out....

Don't know what your complaining about 28C here yesterday got a couple of spots of rain and it evaporated off the windscreen.

We could use some decent rain here, but its just been teasing us with some spots and not much else...........Kiwi

No complaining here, Kiwi.......

Your ~85 degrees F is more what we are used to. I was just sharing an unusual event for South Texas which included a 38 degrees F temperature.

Nope..............

As i said back on Page One: "This is much better than the ice storm that was forecast. It gets a bit sporty down here on the roads with ice. Roads here were wet just like after a rain, so everyone likely got off at their usual times this AM."

Do you guys down there even have snow shovels?

Home safe and sound. Its 25° here with freezing fog. Main roads aren't bad but town streets were getting slippy. Only an inch or so here. Had 2-3 down on the shore and was still snowing when we left. No deer were harmed (by us anyways) and no fenders busted on the drive home. A friend killed a HUGE 8 point. He always does. Hunts other primo properties, puts us in the bad ones. They also shot some does.

Mom and I both crammed into a 4x4 box blind tonight overlooking standing corn. Best spot on the place. Our highlight was a young red fox. I squeeked him right across the field to the box blind. He sat, cocked his head like a dog does, and decided it wasn't dinner he was hearing and left. Fun stuff. Should have popped the phone out to video but it happened too quick.

Time to top off the woodstove and crawl into bed for a cold winter's nap.

LOL..! Charlie, you'd probably have to spend an entire day shopping for a snow shovel down here, and then you'd have to settle for a grain scoop as a substitute.

Sorry the killing didn't work out better this fall. It sounds like you have meat in the freezer however, so that's success.

Charlie:
Jack has a friend in VA someplace that's begging for
someone to come help cull them out of his field
so there's some crops left. Sounds like you went to
the wrong place.

BCB: When I was trucking, I got into some of your
ice storms. The world stops til it thaws, I learned
that right quick. Can't even walk across a gravel
parking lot. Be tickled it only snowed!

Can't get a clam shovel at Tractor Supply, but they have post hole shovels.

Texas/OK 'Norther' ice storms are nasty, and that's coming from someone from the land of the deep wet snow and black ice who currently lives in N. Tex.
