Default Cleaning patches storage

I’ve been changing up my reloading room. Looking for better patch storage ideas (I keep all sizes on hand including BP & shotgun).

My cheap dollar store storage has gotten me by for many years... not sure why I want to change up now but I do.

I have one bench for reloading only, and another bench for combined gun cleaning/maintenance and can be used for some reloading.

Sealed jars are best IF you have the shelf space.
I don't.

For butter soaked bp wads I use a couple large pill bottles.
They hold a couple thousand I'll never live long enough to
use 'em up.

got a cheap set of wad punches from H/F for a few bucks and
stamped out a couple sq feet of material. Then soaked 'em in
bore butter. I love sniffing those jars!! Ha!

I use empty Tannerite jars for patches and cleaning tools. I have no idea how I managed to get Tannerite jars. Honest, Officer.

Thanks for the ideas... I was thinking about something like tip out storage bins but haven’t seen any in real life...

Lightbulb Gary.......

For many years I've used old empty prescription medicine bottles.

Depending on the size......you can stack a lot of patches in one.

Hope this helps.

At my cleaning bench, I just keep them in the zip-lok bag they came in. I like the Pro-Shot patches. In my range bag, I have a small clear plastic utility box with my common bushes, jags, etc., and also keep some common patches, usually 22 and 6mm for cleaning varmint rifles at the range.

Might have to try the medicine bottles, and have plenty of them in various sizes.

Same here, TinMan, but for range use in the shooting box, if put them in plastic bullet boxes.

I prefer cigar boxes. I spend a couple of minutes separating patches when I empty them from their ziplocks, they work great.

I still like the little zip lock bags that Brownell"s send them in. I have a peg for each size to hang them on and a bag or them in my range box= Menards plastic tool box.

I use the small flat plastic flip-lid containers meant for lures or flies sold in the fishing dept. of most stores like Wally World or Bi-Mart here in the PNW.

They come with removable dividers to customize the interior, and is perfect for patches from .17 cal to .45. I use one for range/varmint shooting, another for my large caliber rifles when in hunting camp.
