If I remember correctly, the early to mid 1980's. My Browning B92 was made in 1982.

I Googled "Browning Commemorative Knives" and I came up with a couple bushel baskets of hits, but nothing on these two rifles. But I only went about 4 pages deep on the Google results, and there are a lot more.

I will check with Taylor and or what year our rifles were made. I’m not sure how he found out about it but he saw one come up for sale and not regrets not getting it.
Background- Taylor has a small Browning collection started. They are all factory extra extra nice wood. Been eyeballing a not very popular high power pistol that I have lol It’s the only browning I think I own so not sure how he got started other than I his taste for beautiful looking firearms. Then one day he suckered me into this browning 218 Bee. I was very strong and resisted for at least 2 seconds... Just completed all the reception decorating... feeling overwhelmed with blessings right now. I think his taste in guns is the same as women. He has such a sweet and beautiful bride!

Gary and BCB, might this will help some:
https://www.browning.com/support/date-your-firearm.html Many Browning firearms have a two letter code between the model number and the S/N that signify the production date, at least the B-92 does. Last edited by TinMan; 10-18-2019 at 05:45 PM. Reason: typo |

I'm not real big on collecting knives but every once in a while something catches my eye and someone offers something unusual up for trade to make a deal come together. Last weekend I was set up at a local show and acquired this unique blade. https://www.bladegallery.com/shopexd.asp?id=1019
The link is of the actual knife I received. It's a one of a kind made by a husband and wife company out of South Africa. It's gorgeous!!!! And it's for sale if anyone would be interested in it. |
