Default Hornady 17 Hornet Powder?

Does anyone here know what powder Hornady uses in the 17 hornet?
Thanks

The majority of powders used by factory loads are proprietary mixtures that are not available to the public.

Sorta like the superformance powder is not loaded into all the factory superformance rounds. The exception may be the leverevolution powder.

There are a variety of powders people are using for 17HH. It appears that AA2200 does close to the best at duplicating factory performance.

Default 17 HH powder

Hornady's powder for the 17HH is proprietary. I understand it's a special blend. With that said, my experience with AA1680 rendered superior velocity and accuracy over the slower AA2200.

This is an excellent example of what works in one rifle may not work in another! If you took the tables and flipped them with 1680 and 2200, you would get the results I got in my rifle. And just recently it was the same in a friend's 527. Don't assume till you try!

As said, what Hornady uses you can't buy. I am in the minority but I like Lil'Gun. Great velocity and accuracy.
