Default 14 lrb

Lawrence rifle barrel company made the subcaliber barrels for Mr.William (Bill) Eichelberger. He (Mr.Eichelberger) probably built more subcaliber wildcats than anyone. Mr. Lawerance also made some including a 15 caliber. To my knowledge Mr.Lawrence has not built subcaliber barrels in years. Reed bought Mr. Eichelbergers things after his death and has kept the subcalibers alive. Unless the reloading dies and some fired brass comes with the barrel you need to make a chamber cast. There are several different 14/221's. Mr. Lawrence made first class cut rifle barrels in any caliber he made. The 14 is a great caliber within its limited range. Mr.Reed should be able to provide the things you need.

I read somewhere that Proof Research bought Lawrence Barrel company and is using those tools on their barrels now.

Default 14 caliber barrels

Pac-nor made 14 caliber barrels at one time. I asked about it 2-3 years ago when I took a tour there, and was told that the wastage rate was simply too high, had to reject more than they kept. I imagine they still have the tooling, but would cost a pretty penny to get a blank if they would even do it at all.

That caliber is about the only one I dont have but I agree that Ron Reed may be able to help you. I have looked through all the sub cal info I have and I just cant find anything on it. You can get dies, make brass but the big thing now is finding a barrel. I wish there was more of a demand on them to boost the barrel manufacturers would produce them. Wish I could help.

I work for Dave Van Horn. We made seven 14 caliber blanks a couple weeks ago. We had an order for one so we made a few more.

Default 14 caliber barrel blanks

Questions about blanks. Are they .144 or .142, what is rate of twist, length and O.D., cut or button, stainless, price? Thanks for any and all information on blanks and contact information.
