There is a group of shooters that shoot XP's . They hold a yearly shoot over around Sundance. You might check on specialtypistols for more info. Hal |

The first year I shot at the MOA match in Sundance, WY there was a 250ai. Post some pictures of your pistol when you get a chance.

I've joined that forum. Thanks. There is a wellspring of knowledge there for sure. Same as here.

Any idea who made the stock ?
What's the story waiting two years to get it ? What did you decide to surprise yourself for your birthday because you have been so good ? Hal Last edited by Hal; 07-19-2017 at 06:41 PM. |

Looks like a custom shop stock to me. I remember seeing an xp-100 like it on the cover of a magazine a while back. It was chambered in 250 savage too.

all factory.
Nailed it! It is a Custom shop gun. Heavy Bbl and all. It was on a local facebook guns page before FB got all tweeky about RTKBA and sales. I had interacted with the seller a few times, and out of the blue I sought him out to see if he had sold it, nope, we came to an agreement on the price and I got it! Lucky on my end! I've always wanted an XP, but thought the .221 was limited to varmints and wanted a bit more. I've always liked the .250-3000 so this gun has been beckoning me. I hope I like it, if not, I should be able to get my money out of it. Lo and behold, I just heard from Burris, they replaced a lens in the scope and it's enroute back to me!
Good memory on the article. Reloader/Handloader magazine, August of 2010. I've ordered a copy! |
