Default 17fb

H335 surplus, is that WC844? I use it alot in PD loads with the 204 and 223 and was thinking about giving it a spin in my 17Rem with 20's. Are you having to shoot it in singleshot mode being a 223 donor? Looks like right out of the chute she want's to shoot.

Yes sir it is. My other 700VS in .223 loves the stuff. What a great deal on what has turned out for me to be a great powder. And Yes to your second question too. I have always shot my guns as single-shots for one reason or the other and really don't mind having to feed it one at a time. Bob did a Sako extractor on the bolt and she extracts and ejects flawlessly.

From the target I would say it is shooting minute of prairie dog or better. Very nice looking rifle. Did Bob Green have that 17FB reamer or did you provide it to him. Curious as to what neck diameter and freebore the reamer cuts. I have a couple of those Vortex Vipers with the mil dots on prairie dog rifles. The glass is okay but I really like the resettable target turrets and overall function of those scopes. Wish the glass was a little better but the scope is a great value. Bill

Thats a sweet looking rig I had Bob build me a 17fb on a model 7 fireball action so it feeds fine, and I'm sure its the same reamer unless you had your own.
Since you also have a 9 twist give the 30gr Berger and 8208 a try its scary accurate from mine, mine also likes the 20 & 25 Nagles with 10X

the reamer Bob has is a .204 neck and zero freebore. I had him use that reamer when he built my CZ 17 fireball.
