A Public Thank You (Gunsmith Recommendation)
I just wanted to give a public thank you to everyone who chimed in when I was looking for a gunsmith to do a 20 Vartarg. I choose Jay Cutright to do the smith work and he did a awesome job. His metal work was top notch, he was able to get the factory Sako barrel off without a scratch, and I had a special request that he handled beyond measure. I cannot say enough good things about Jay. So here she is......
Sako AI, target trigger model, with a PacNor 3 groove 11 twist .204 dia. heavy barrel. The best part is she shoots exceptionally well. The two pics are the best two, 5 shot, fireforming groups at 100 yards. I just picked a load 17.5 gr H-4198, 32 gr. V-max and loaded .007 into the lands. Thanks Again, Ryan |

I think the .20 VarTarg is an inherently accurate round to begin with so in the hands of a good smith it becomes a very boring rifle, everything ya feed it it likes .
Congrats on a fine looking piece there and it looks like the guy yanking the trigger did a great job as well , nice shooting! Where does Mr. Cutright operate out of?

RRW...I'm glad your rifle turned out the way you wanted and shoots great too. When I got mine back from Jay is was everything I wished for and more. He went the " extra mile". Doug his shop is in east central Illinois and he's a member here. There seems to be wealth of good smiths on this board.
