Fascinating stuff. I can see why he was well liked. May I inquire as to his passing? What happened? His family should be proud of his work. Seemed like a real genuine guy.

I wonder about that also, he does not look as if he was very old and looked in pretty good shape. But I guess you just never know.

Very sad case. Had cancer and ended his own life IIRC.

Thanks for sharing that video, I learned a lot.
His family should be proud of his work and his memory will live on.

Thanks
Hal

Does anyone have a guess as to the decimal equivalent the hole is for the 22 cal. hole, editing skipped over it?

Blaine makes a pretty good sized jump from .269 to .248, that's a .021 jump, from the hole before .22 cal to the hole after .22 cal.

If I recall correctly this pic was posted by Blaine. 17 Athena, BR case squeezed down to match 17 Remington powder capacity, a short fat powder column. Twas an experiment to see if the short fat powder column was more efficient at producing speed compared to a conventional 17 Remington or even the 17 DT (PPC case also squeezed down to 17 Remington capacity).
