First things first, your Coozie doesn't have a Beer in it! Fill it and drink it then you'll have the nerve to tell the Wife your buying another!

Keep VERY pretty 22H. Buy another real pretty CZ in 17 HH. Mags are interchangeable. Brass can be used as 22H or reformed to 17 HH. Primers and powder is interchangeable. Absolutely no lose proposition. Really like the Maple stock, if I found one like it I would have 6 22 H instead of only 5.

Thumbs up Buy another

I think i agree with the majority, keep it and buy another, 2 is always better than 1 (at least in the rifle world).

Default hmm..

I'm with the others, keep buying till ya got no room....then buy another safe and carry on. Right now it seems the 22 Hornets are harder to find than the 17HH's.

Whitakers sure does seem to get its share of Maple stocked rifles, regardless of brand. I've got a maple stocked CZ 223 and have bought 2 Coopers(17mk4 & 17Rem) with maple stocks from them.

Keep it stock. I was in the same boat. Several years ago, I already had three Hornet rifles and a TC pistol barrel when I found a used 527 Hornet I wanted to make into a 17AH (before the 17HH came out). I decided to try it as a 22 Hornet first. Since all my prepared brass was segregated to the other rifles, I used some factory Winchester silver box 46gr HP factory ammo I had. After shooting three consecutive 5 shot groups at 100yds in the 0.4 MOA to 0.5 MOA range, I figured I had to keep it stock and look for another donor. It will shoot handloads pretty much in the same range.

Boy that's a fine shooting Hornet!

I had a CZ Hornet years ago, before I got addicted to the small calibers and like a fool, sold it off as I wasn't shooting it too much. Looking back, that would have made a nice conversion.

Someone on Accurateshooter posted up a new CZ Varmint in 17HH and it was printing itsy bitsy little groups. Apparently Bud's had a good deal on them.

Might just go that route and see what the luck of the draw brings me.

I went ahead and mounted a nice Leupold VXII 4-12 on the Hornet. Now I just need to get to the range and actually pull the trigger on it.

If the stock was stained to show off the grain, it would be very nice indeed! It looks to be unfinished, a picture taken after fitting the barreled action, stock unfinished. Each to his own - but for me, blonde maple stocks, are featureless compared to what they can be.
A little stain makes the wood's features stand out proudly.
