Default 20 TAC load data

I have a new 20 TAC with a Hart 1-12 26 inch Rem Varmint contour bbl.
I want to shoot 39 sierras and was looking for a powder besides RL-10x that will group and have speed? What are you guys loading now? New RL-10x is slower than the old lots

H322 always seems to work very well in these 222, 204R, 223, size cases.

I'm pretty happy with H322 in my 20-222 w/40gr Bergers. The 39gr SBK is the next bullet on my list for this gun and H322 will be the powder I try first.

For all out speed, IMR3031 is a popular choice in the .17 & .20 cal versions of the 223 case but it's not a particularly fun powder to work with and won't be as temp stable as H322.

Western Powders has data. They use the Hornady 40 grain V-Max instead of the Sierra 39 grain BlitzKing, but I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Default 20tac load

I use 322 in my three 20tac's and 2015 in my two 20p's
Hogdon claims 322 powder holds more records than all other powders combined. I don't know about that, but I do know it shoots dam good for me.

Would recommend Benchmark, IMR 8208, H4895 AA2520 - those will all get you velocity with good accuracy.

Try this place on Rt. 460, a little north of Roanoke:

Big Boyz Guns (540) 650-2520
4568 Blue Ridge Blvd.
Blue Ridge, Va. 24064

It's been about two years since I've been there, but they had a pretty good powder selection. They're open from 10 A.M. to 6 P.M.

I picked up some Accurate Arms 2520 powder today thanks to a little shooters supply in Wytheville Va. I will test out in my 20 TAC soon

20 TAC 39gr Sierra and 27.2gr of AA2520 is shooting nice groups at 100 yards. 1/4 to 3/8 is easy with this load off bipod and rear sandbag. I will check speed next
