I was thinking of rebarreling my 17FB to 20 VT and ran across the 20SCC on Custom Reloading Tools web site. Just wondering if any of you guys know of any pros or cons with this round. Thanks

I have one and love it. Easy to just fire form the standard 20 VT and go from there with no problems. Since it is on the order of the Ackley Improved, you gain about 100 FPS and have way less case trim issues.
I really can not give any pro/con, other than say I have no regrets of going to it. One thing should be mentioned, right now the dies, from Whitten or CRT are the best, but are more pricey. Bill K

If you wanted to sell it later, I think more people would consider the VarTarg. About the only downside that I can think of.

Hi bill k,

A question that comes to mind.
How does the loaded SCC case chamber compared to the loaded vt case.
I was contemplating purchasing a reamer and getting my vt re chambered but wondered in a repeater if that would be an issue.
