Default Cooper Var-Tac in 204

I have a Cooper Var-Tac bought from hendershots, its got the fluted barrel and fluted bolt and checkered bolt knob. It has great wood on it and is in great shape. the only strange thing is i had someone add a stub up front to use a bipod and i think he mounted it a little far back compared to what they do at cooper.

It come with a 8.5x25x50 Leupold long range with varmint hunters reticle.
it has Talley rings and bases

gun has been fired right about 250-300 rounds

comes with redding comp dies # 58287
lucas bore guide ( i have to find it)
92 loaded rounds and 8 fired all fired 1x nosler brass and 8208

pictures by email or text.

3100$ for all of it shipped or 3000 face to face. I am located just outside the atlanta perimeter

Default Var-Tac?

Seriously, did I miss another cartridge innovation (wild cat)? Or is that the Var Targ you have. If it is, don't feel bad as with several iterations used, it took me a while to discover the real Var Targ......

Redding part # 58287 is for 204 Ruger caliber.

If I read the post title, the caliber is 204, THE GUN is called Var-Tac, maybe due to the options?

As long as we are guessing, maybe it is a Varmint and the extra swivel stud for the bipod makes it Tactical???? Certainly appears to be chambered for .204R, though.

Jacack, sorry if I helped derail your ad. Big Cooper fan but, I had never seen or heard of the Var Tac. Nice looking rig, though! Best of luck on the sale.

Var Tac is the stock, not the caliber. To make it really confusing, I ordered a 20 VarTarg VarTac. Waiting impatiently. The stock option is the same price as the Montana Varminter. Hendershots loads their orders up with lots of options as noted in the for sale post (I'll bet she's a beauty). The Montana Varminter and the VarTac are the same price, all else being equal. Before I ordered mine, I spoke with a smith at Cooper and he confirmed that you can switch the barrel/action between the two stocks. I was worried that I might not like the VarTac stock. In his words, "that won't be your problem. Your problem will be wanting to switch over all or your other stocks to the VarTac."
