Default interesting question

If such a thing was available and as avid shooters and hand loaders. For the same money would you buy once fired and freshly annealed cases instead of unfired new cases? SX

Lightbulb Nope.......

.......as once-fired cases have swelled webs, which most times are not compatable with my chamber of a given rifle.

I bought some once fired 308 brass once. I have no idea what they were fired in, but the bases were so big, I couldn't size the brass down enough to use even after running them through a regular sizing die then a small base die. Never again.

Default Cases

not me even if they would fit. I prefer to prep my own cases, then I know exactly what was done

Used is used and knocks at least 50% off the price of new brass in my opinion. Nicely cleaned and annealed might bring back another 10%. The only exception might be for rare, out of production, or wildcatted cases.

IIRC, the only new brass I've bought in a long, long time was some .22 Hornet to make .17 AH out of, and some .222 Rem Mag years ago for my 6x47. Otherwise, I've always used fired, sometimes multi-fired, brass and have never had a problem with it. To each his own, I guess.

To answer Super X's question: No, I'd rather do my own processing.

Default Interesting question

I have and do buy both. They all need prepped regardless, so any issues are resolved when you properly prepare the brass, once fired or new. At least that is my thought. Either way I have no issues prepping either. And if I can save some money, all the better. Bill K

Got some once fired 577/500 BPE or WR Musket N0. 2, below new price, I'll buy in a hot second.

45 ACP, 38SPL, 40 S&W, .30-06, 17HH, you can give to me, but I ain't buying.

Think what I am saying is it depends. Probably applies to everyone.
