Sako A1 22 PPC value
A friend of mine passed away of a sudden heart attack, his widow asked me for assistance in pricing his guns for sale. This one has me perplexed as I can find no accurate pricing on it. I’d say it is 95% condition if not better. Any ideas what I should give her for ballpark?

Sako ppc
Delux or regular?
Delux has skip line checkering, engraving on floor plate, forend tip and usually nicer wood. I have a delux that I bought 3-4 years ago. Was 99% plus and I believe I paid $1400. I wanted it and did not negotiate. |

I'm sorry to hear of the passing of your friend. Hopefully helping his widow sell his guns will stir some good memories of him.

Just the standard varmint version. Thank you for the help! I’m half tempted to get it from her but to many guns I don’t shoot already I have put His .375 interarms to good use on a couple of grizzlies.

Ive bought a couple Sako A1 and vixen 6PPC rifles here in Canada, last couple years,
Generally in good condition they list at 2 grand or a touch more, but take a bit to move, I paid $1650 for both, with a bit of brass. USA rifle market is more fluid and always a bit higher, I say that around $1500 US, is a good place to start. |

i paid 1250 fro one a few years back. Does it have the hole in the trigger guard to adjust the trigger? Those seem to bring more.

Sorry about your friend
I've got the same rifle. Picked it up at a gun show with high sako rings for...900.00 about 4 years ago. That was the only reason I bought it! I still haven't shot it. I've bought new Norma brass for it, mounted a 6.5x20 leupold and I must go use it, just to say I did. Anyway, check gunbroker for completed sales...I'd say it is worth between 1300-1700.00 depending on the condition and quality of timber.
