I believe the online AA/Ramshot list loads for it fit some starting points.

Also here is a link for data 2200 loads

As I recall, they are almost grain for grain the same as the RL7. I am tied up today, but will dig out the data later. The AA2200 is much less expensive, and that was my driver after it came out.

Both my Furballs run great with either RL-7 or A2200, giving groups under 3/8", even with the CZ American's skinny sporter weight barrel.

My Cooper M38 runs right at .25" or less with 18.5grs of RL-7. Speeds are a bit less when using A2200, but the accuracy is excellent.

Right now with prices soaring through the roof, sure glad I laid in about 10 lbs. of both powders prior to the ChiCom flu.

Rick, my experience is very similar, but my Cooper is a M21. The Cooper runs at 0.319" for 5 shots at 100yds. The CZ typically runs about 0.4" for 5 at 100yds.

One of my CZs is funny, it doesn’t shoot any bullet powder combination all that great (3/4”->1”) but loves DATA 2200 powder (like in the .3s and sometimes less). Same charge weight and same groups with 40 vmax and 35 NTX but the POI is not the same 3/4” different spot at 100 yards. Got some great velocity with CFE black and it was not as bad as others like 1680. I think 1680 would have done better if I had gone way over max book. My other CZ really likes 1680?

I run a pretty warm load of 1680 in my Dakotas with 40gr for .25" groups. Will have to try the RL-7; what is a good starting place? Thanks

Leopold Scopes, Forester reloading equipment and Victorianox knives.

I video recorded all of my Highpower Rifle matches. Pretty soon I am going to watch them all in reverse order so that I can watch those F Class guys GO HOME and leave us alone so that we can shoot Highpower Rifle.

I tracked this down from AA old data magazine.

In my CZ 527 .221 I'm using 20.3 grains of 1680 with the 40 grain BlitzKing and I'm .2 off the manufacturers Max load of 20.5 and in that light barrel the velocity I'm getting is (no stuff) 3550ish FPS as memory serves and is a half inch rifle, again, (no stuff). As much as I like monkeying with about every weapon I own that .221 is one of the only things I own that is bone stock except for trigger adjustment. First time that load went over my "Oehler 35 P" I was amazed at velocity, accuracy, all of it. Fantastic round, You'll love it!!

Many years ago I called my buddy Doug telling him of the bug hole load I just came up with. I think I heard him fall off his loading stool laughing. Then he tells me it was their max book load. That sure popped my reloading bubble. My little plain Cooper Varminter loves that load. Primer, brass or bullet manufacturer doesn't seem to matter to that gun as long as it's that max charge of 1680..

18.8 gr. 1680 here, with 40 gr vmax.

If I use more powder, the barrel fouls up too fast in the 7 twist.
