I have 100 6br lapua cases, when sorted by weight they aren't nearly as close in weight as my Remington 22 br brass.

I don't think this is the problem. Many pieces of unfired brass have enlarged primer pockets. Samples have been sent to Lapua for evaluation. Have not heard from them since sending samples.

I will update after hearing from Lapua.

Default Lapua 223 Rem Brass Saga

I received an email from Lapua this morning regarding the brass samples I sent them. I was told that the "unfired" brass samples I sent them had been previously fired - and with some excessive loads and had been cleaned exceptionally well. Hard for me to believe at first until I realized that the annealing colors were not present on the "new" brass.

I purchased this brass in bulk somewhere around five years ago - wish I could remember where so I could avoid the seller in the future.

I am happy that the question about Lapua's brass quality was resolved even though it cost me 400 pieces of "new" brass. Looks like it goes into the scrap bin.

Sorry for the alarm.
