No matter what anyone might tell you, and even if the rifle has a beveled extractor, control round feeding is what it was designed to do on a regular basis and it's what is does best.

I'd spring for the Calhoun follower.

I'd buy from Calhoon if I had to do it over again. But this seems to work fine. I like calhoons design better as it doesn't protrude from the bottom metal like the bob sled does. Otherwise, I'm pretty certain they are the same "design" as far as the ramp for controlled cartridge feeding.

I have James's single shot follower for both of my CZ 527 17 Hornets. In one of them it works flawless and feeds very smooth, the other one, not so much. I talked to James about it and he said if I send him my bolt he can fix the problem. Funny thing is, the one that his single shot follower doesn't work very well in, feeds from the magazine pretty well, and the other one that works really well with the single shot follower, doesn't feed as well from the magazine.
