I have 2 m38, 221fb and 20vt and both are single shot and I thought all 38's were single shot but I never had a hornet based 38

I have no clue, don't recall seeing that before but does
seem familiar for some reason. I have two M-38s: the original VR from foxhunter that was a 17 CCM from the factory clip fed that seldom fed right. And Cooper later converted to single shot. AND the 20 VT single shot I bought new from Philip shortly after that. The only real question is: Does one type work better than the other? Do they both work well EVERYTIME???

Guys,
I'll find the issue that has the pic in it of the before and immediately after the change bolts and send it to one of you to post. I don't keep my rifles (no more than one) here in the city (long story) but spend every weekend where I brought up my young kids every weekend. I'll email it to one of the gang to post it for me.
