The brass is marked "LAPUA MATCH 223 Rem". I have had this for probably 5 years so I am somewhat surprised that it hasn't become known before now.

Default Lapua contact

I found a phone number for Lapua USA. I plan to give them a call tomorrow to see what they say.

FWIW, I have been using that brass for my 20-223AI & it has worked well. You should contact Lapua, but also check chamber length vs case OAL; there could be a problem there somewhere. Please let us know the outcome of this. Thanks, Joe

I tried it in a white oak upper and a Whitley .20 practical. Was a waste of money. IIRC, Robert advises to use other than Lapua brass in his AR mods. LC, Remington, Winchester, PMC all worked well in both rifles. As far as Lapua brass, I have had nothing but stellar results with it in all my other rifles.

I got tied up on Friday and didn't get them called. I sent an email Saturday morning but have not had a response yet.

I recently began preparing brass and working up loads for an AR in 20 Practical using new Lapua 223 brass. After the first round of loads I had 3 pieces with primers blown completely out of their pockets using loads that should not have produced such results
In my 20 Pract with a .233 neck, Lapua brass necked down gives very little clearance. Are you sure you don't have a tight neck issue that is blowing the primers?

I test drove 10 pcs of Lapua 223, checked the pp before and after firing, they were typical Lapua tight before first firing (go gauge won't fit) and sloppy as all get out after first firing, no-go side fits. No go for me.

Best deal to me is the 250ct bags of Fed American Eagle, "5.56x45 NATO" = LC headstamp, '223 Rem' = FC, and I cannot tell the difference between the LC and FC, same weights etc. Federal took over operation of the LC plant awhile back, maybe the FC 223 brass was run at LC? Absolutely nothing wrong with current FC 223 brass, good value.

For PP checking get the Swage Gauge from Sinclair/Brownell's, everybody needs one, very hand

Anybody wanna trade FC/LC 223 for 90 Lapua 223?
yes I will trade you FC once fired for Lapua.

New for new at the same retail dollar level, not once fired. TANSTAAFL.

That means 250+ FC for 90 Lapua. Can't buy 100 Lapua for 45 bucks.
