Having seen some of the prices 17 WSM ammo is going for now, $40-$50, I wished I'd bought a whole lot more of it.

That is who turned me on to "investing" in some of it. So I did....

Truth be told, I'm going to be shooting my GM cheap stuff for quite awhile as it came in copious quantities ay a very cheap price, and I haven't spent a great deal of time looking for any. I did buy some Hornady awhile back as it was on sale, but nowhere near what I paid for the GM Federal labeled stuff as they were literally closing their doors.

Very good thread guys.

Don't believe I've seen any 17 wsm.

Would one of you be kind enough to post a picture
of one beside a HMR, if only just for my education??

Would appreciate it.

Thanks, G

This link has a pretty good comparison picture, George..... Its an older link and it pre-dates the Ruger 17 WSM rifles, but the pictures are pretty good and the written article is decent, IMO.

https://www.huntinggearguy.com/rimfi...hmr-vs-17-wsm/

With heavier bullet options than the HMR, I wouldn't be afraid to take a shot at a coyote "of opportunity" within maybe 200 yards with the 17 WSM, but for me its strictly a pd/small varmint cartridge and I'd never take it on a dedicated coyote hunting trip as my first option in rifles. Others might have other thoughts. That's just mine......

Default Thanks BCB....

Great picture of 3 great rounds that I hope will be around for a long time.
Would be great to see other companies get on board with the 17WSM.
Once you shoot a 17WSM you will be hooked.

Thanks BCB, now I know why I missed it. Not that much into the AR's, other than the one I have in 224 Valkyrie. Opps, that I gave to BLM for their use. Maybe I should have given it to Antifa, I see the democrats are letting them burn and riot in Wash DC, harrassing customers in restaurants and doing nothing about it, yet they are trying to impeach President Trump, hearing started, for what they say he allowed with the protesters that entered the Capitol grounds.. Seems like socialist democrats are allowing Antifa and BLM protesters to run wild, own guns, but everyone else to not have them and not protest. Going to get interesting.
