Default Full-up benchrest 20 VarTarg

If I've pushed the right buttons, this is a picture of a benchrest rifle our gunsmith built in 20 VarTarg.

Smile Do you really think....

.... that if this piece was yours you would be able to keep from posting a pic (and very well taken) prior to having time to go to the range with it?

However, I think that it should be banned from shooting in any Saubier Postal shoot. Can see aggregates in the ones coming up!

Harold, did you have this pretty piece built just so you could embarass us in the next shoot?

Lovely gun. Can't wait to see the full specs and targets on this one.

Alex

Harold your usual meticulous attention to detail is very informative and much appreciated, thanks for sharing it with us!
Do you happen to know the twist and barrel make?

Awesome looking rifle. In a very interesting cartridge.
I had one built on e Rem XR single shot action.
It is extremely accurate with 32 Vmax and H4198.
Good luck with your new gun.

Thanks for the update. What load did you use in the match? You gonna give it another run at a future match?

Nice looking gun and groups.

I had the pleasure of visiting Rochester last Sunday to Thursday, and enjoyed the almost daily 10 or 11 degree morning commute from Greece to Rochester, and Thursday's flight got 2 applications of de-icing fluids.

Back in 3 weeks, please warm it up some Harold...lol

Thanks for the load info. I am excited to hear how it does this weekend. I am getting my McMillan A3 back from a friend who is painting it at the end of this week. I'm dropping in the stock a Stolle Atlas with a Hart #5 contour vartarg tube screwed on it. I have only shot it a few times with 32 Vmaxes and H4198 and my smallest group was .245. I have some Bergers ready to try in it.
