I've never had a 39 gr Sierra not work in my 12 tw barrels but I sure like the idea of the new 36 gr. Should be great in my 20 Jav Imp. Where did you see this?

Default Don Unmussig

BCB & Bill K, I spoke with Don a short time ago today. He is very willing and eager to make whatever bullet a person would want. He specializes in small calibers of course. I updated the original post above with some info. I think he has extensive knowledge as far as I could tell from our conversation. Far more than I. For my 20-222 with 1:10 twist, he has 46, 48, and 50gr bullets available. He makes them to order, custom. He encouraged medium or short BT, but also really liked the flat base. These are hollow points of course. For 46’s in flat or BT base design, for my rifle, he quoted $36.50 per 100, plus shipping. Other bullets are priced differently of course. When I called the phone just rang, no answer, no machine. He called me back within a few minutes. I’m glad I called him.

Regards, Peter.

PeterS: Thank you for that information, however I am mostly shooting lead free now, due to this year being a lead free bullet only for the game I shoot, in the Commie State of Kalifornia with Newsom and the Fish & Wildlife board running the show. Bill K

Default Looking forward to the 36 Sierra...

Can’t wait to try it as a component bullet in my 2 Sako 20 Dusters that are 12 twists.Bet they will be fun in my VarTargs as well.I always thought a 36 poly tipped bullet would be a nice addition to the 20 caliber offerings, now bring on a 48 or 50 grain Blitz King

Default Don Unmissig .204 Bullets

I ordered and received these .204 bullets from Don. They are 46gr, 8 ogive, medium boat tail. They measure .800 long. Can’t wait to try them out, but weather is closing in.

Tried to post picture, but file upload is not working.

Should work well with my 1:10 twist Hart barrel Rem 700.

Peter.
