Like the rest of you I would like to see factory 20 FB but realistically, for those of us that are interested they are easy enough to make and we don't buy factory ammo anyhow.
The .204 is selling well as is the .17HH. A CZ Fireball action is probably the only repeater made that would feed the .20VT . Other than a small few of us, not many want to shoot a single shot rifle. Speed sells right now and more powder equals more speed. I know that some guys are seeing 3800 fps with a 40 grain bullet and it's "safe" in their gun, the folks that load ammo pressure test and the factory loaded ammo would never come close to the "safe" in my gun velocities. IF any new .20 would be introduced it would be the .20 Practical, and the only company that comes out with rounds like this won't be making it because they already have the .204.

I'd bet any 20VT running 40 grainers at 3800fps would doing so, well, beyond SAAMI recommended pressures.

Yep, but there are plenty of guys that claim they run that, and they are "safe" in their gun. I was planning on a build and had everything lined up but the CZ hornet action, when someone bought all of them listed the day before I was to buy one. I was making sure that I found the CZ 527 Varmint stock. Now I have a stock I need to sell and no action. Oh well.

Moorepower.. Will a 527 hornet action take re-barreling to a 20VT and the bolt face work or need opening up ? Interesting thought for one. Bill K

Sorry, I misspoke. I was going to build a .20 Hornet. The .221 Fireball would what to use, obviously.

Are you still thinking about building a 20 Hornet?

I always thought a 20 Hornady Hornet shooting those 24gr NTX bullets would be a fun little gun.

A 20 and a 17 hornet would make a fine pair for shooting various varmints. Bill K

I want to build a .20 Ackey Hornet on a left hand CZ 527 .22 Hornet action someday. Probably will do a .20VT (or .20 Fireball) and/or a .20 Garin on a left hand CZ 527 .223 action as well.

Another (albeit more pricey) option is to build these little rifles on the various short Bat Machine actions. Will be a while before I get to building these in any case. Many projects and such ahead of them now. Still fun to research and daydream....

Well, after those CZ actions got all sold, in a bit of self destructive foolishness/ cause I wanted too, I picked up a Howa mini .222 hb and a Weatherby Vanguard Wilderness in .257 WB, so...... probably not until fall. After talking with AB I think it is in the next gun category.
