It's good to see rimfire coming back. I only fear that with the election we may have another dry spell for 4 years. I would say for 8 years (never thought it possible till Obama was elected twice.) but if that's the case this country will have much bigger problems then low rimfire availability.........

I'm flabbergasted at the price and really cannot think of anything nice to say. I realize it is simply the market, and I'm hit with it all the time too, but I would not be dusting off my .22 Mag's anytime soon.
I bought the "200" pack of the new A-22 in a Ranch Supply store for $59.95. Widner's should stick to selling powder and brass. A lot of this overpricing "stuff" going on is not "supply and demand", it's just greed and we should all remember who the guilty parties are.

Board Sponsor MidSouth has always been fair and I'm a loyal customer to them for it!
I could give a number of examples but instead I'll just say that when the HMR first came out and everyone kept raising prices on ammo they didn't have. MidSouth had it for back-order at $6.42 a box, I placed a large back-order and it took a while but I finally got it at $6.42 a box and MidSouth got a loyal customer.
I still miss "Lock Stock and Barrel" too. I believe in taking care of the companies that take care a me .

There's no doubt it's a huge conspiracy to rob us. And some companies try to rob us more than others...........

I'm glad I live where I do because I've had 22 WMR available non-stop for the past few years ranging in price for $8 to $12+ per 50 rounds, depending on the brand, at several local GS's. WW High Velocity copper plated 22 LR runs about $7.75 per hundred right now, and you can buy all you want.

Default 22 WMR coming back

Precisely the reason for anyone wanting a small .22 or .17 caliber to look into a 22 K Hornet or one of the small 17 cal centerfires and reload them. It seems you can reload and shoot them cheaper, now days, than trying to find or pay the high price on the rimfire.
And the way the government is headed with buying loaded ammo, with ID, registration, etc. reloading will be the way to go, until the nuts start wanting to ban that also All in their feeble minds to either stop criminals and/or stop us from owning, shooting or enjoying firearms. Bill K

I probably still have 500-600 round of 22 Win Mag around and 4-5 bricks of 17HMR from back when I bought my 17 HMR, the necks are cracked on some but they still shoot good enough at 100 yards. About the only rimfire I look for anymore is 22LR standard velocity as they are nice and quiet in my 10/22 with the suppressor

I work on some of my days off at the LGS and we have had a fair supply of 22 Mag for a couple months now. I don't set prices. The Winchester 28 grain loading is $16.99 with no limit and the CCI I stuff has been about the same. Some of the Winchester silver box has been $14.99 and as far as 22LR goes, it's a question of how much do you want? We've got CCI standard velocity out the ying yang as well as Minimags, short hollow points! Remington Golden bullet, federal value pacs! Winchester 1000 round boxes.......no more shortage for the time being.
