I didn’t read through all the replies but if a 223 bolt face is what you end up going, I’d thinking it would be crazy not to build a 204 Ruger. I had one in a factory CZ and with factory 32 gr ammo, it shot a solid 1/2” group and sometime less. Then you don’t have to worry about the high cost of custom dies (but the same would be true for say a 20-221 or 20-222.

The 20 bobcat or duster are both an excellent option....

For me and without question, I would build Ray H. 20 Jav Imp. Dang, I might of just talked myself into a new project??? Might need to change up my 20 Habu Screw for a Jav Imp... I’ve recently been making 17 Jav Imp brass. This is about exactly the same as my 17 WS and I’m very fond of this case size.

Dies are the easy bit Jack ,PPC body die,"S" type neck die and a 22 PPC seater.

The 22 PPC seater comes down to the Ogive

4,000 fps is not hard to get with the PPC case.
