Cool V133 vs V130 and V135.

While corralling stuff together for our upcoming move, I also have found a some V133. Data is pretty common for V130 and V135, but not so much with V133. Is it a red-headed step-child or what?

What experiences has everyone had with V133 where V130/V135 is commonly used. Does not need to just be 17-224 caliber, but any of the 308 class or smaller 30 cal rounds.

Many thanks for the input.

Michael

The V 133 is the preferred powder for the 6 PPC bench rest round with bullet weights of 65 to 68 grains. It meters well in electronic and Harrell powder measures. I know it is used in other cartridges like the 222. It is clean burning and efficient pushing a 68 grain bullet at 3400 fps in the PPC.

Actually you have it backwards in my experience, VV N133 is quite a bit more popular than N130 or N135 because it has been the go-to powder for benchrest shooters in 6PPC and sometimes short range 6BR. It is also stellar in 223 with varmint bullets. N130 and N135 are also both excellent powders in their respective applications. N130 was very popular in the 30BR for benchrest score shooting originally until H4198 sort of edged it out as the best for that application. I found N135 to be the best in my 6BR for short range BR group shooting when I first started competing, and it is a good powder in the 223AI with varmint weight bullets, too.
