I don't know about the Boyd's stock, but I can relate my experience with a Bell & Carlson stock. I borrowed a friend's 243 A bolt and the stock sorta fit when I exchanged it onto my Hornet. I ordered a B & C A bolt stock despite them telling me it would not fit. Turns out they were correct and it did not work. Both Browning and B & C said the Micro stock is different from a short action ABolt. They graciously allowed me to swap for a stock for a different gun so I only lost out on extra shipping fees.

The browning Micro stock has a shorter LOP and foregrip. The depth of the stock where the bottom metal is inletted is also thinner, so it has a different mag that only takes one less round compared to the full size stocks.

On my 223 I fitted a B & C stock and had to deepen the bottom metal inletting by about 1/4" to get the bolt to pickup the case in the mag.

On another one (243 rebarreled to 6.5 SLR) I fitted it in a McM stock and bought a replacement standard 5 round mag so the standard inletting works fine.
