CFE BLK in the 20 VarTarg
I am running some comparison with it against my true and tried AA2200.
Seems to have good accuracy, so far, but will run some chrony tests also, too see where they are running. This is in my 20 SCC. Bill K |

CFE BLK in the 20 Vartarg
I use A2200 ATM, no idea why I would want to change but I bought a Lb of CFE Blk. My 20VT does very well with A2200 but , well you know curiosity.
If anyone has any starting load data for CFE Blk in the 20VT, or where I could find any info, I would appreciate it. My set up is Cooper 38 MTV, using lc13 cases. Currently my go to load is 20.0 A2200. In my gun not real fast, a touch over 3600. Bullet is S 32BK. Primers 7 1/2, and they nice and round no pressure issues even though it is max in Accurate manual. I plan on going out this weekend to shoot a few groups, if I can get a load to start with the new powder, and I will post the results. Thanks Craig |

CFE BLK in the 20 VarTarg
Craig, I started at 18.0 grains with the 32 grain Z-max. I am presently working up a few ladder loads in that area. So far no signs of pressure and accuracy is pretty good. Bill K

In my SCC, but I did load some 18 grain in VT case's and fire formed with it, and even in those, the accuracy was good. If you are uncomfortable with the 18 grains, drop down into 17.5 or so and start. Bill K

Waiting to see and/or hear of your results. I went out this morning a ran three loads through a target. 18.2, 18.4 & 18.6.. all with the z-max bullet. The first two are under one inch and the 18.6 put five almost into the same hole. 90 yards. I can not post pictures, but if you want too see the target, give me your email and I can send too you a photo. Now I must run some chrony runs to check out the fps. But it sure looks good, so far, on paper. Bill K
