Savage Axim
Hi,
Can anyone confirm that some savage Axis rifles have (As reported) been going off when trying to eject a live round. Regards,Ken.

Had a email from a friend that said they are, but have not seen any official notice or recall by Savage. I have more than one Axis and so far, over the years have had no issues like that. But it would pay to be cautious and handle any safely, as we should with any firearm regardless.
I would think Savage would be on top of this, if it proves as such. Bill K |

the first time you forget to put the safety on, and keep the finger inside the trigger guard while operating the bolt with live ammunition. its ALWAYS the guns fault when you manage to pull the trigger when your aren't expecting too

For sure the gun and trigger will get the fault, even when a person has the safety off and finger on the trigger and it fires. I.E. the lady with her Rem 700 who caused the death of her son. Lawyers had a field day with that one. Bill K

Ken:
That was a post by some other member or news etc. Too long ago for me to remember. Only thing I can correct is: Accurate Reloading.com You misspelled the name a bit is all. Forgiven!
