I have a factory pencil barrel 22hornet and a 22 KH. I just assumed the .223 barrel with .224 bullets was what made them soot so well lol

I don't believe that CZ makes there varmint rifle in 22 Hornet. I have 527 Varmint rifles in 17 Hornet, 17 Remington, 204 Ruger, 222 Remington and 223 Remington they all came with wood stocks that resemble the American version except for a wider barrel channel. The 17 Hornet is the newest made in 2013 and all these rifles have the 5 shot magazines with the trigger guard assemblies having the tabs. CZ has made limited runs with different stocks in the past. But I think the wood stock is there normal.

Their latest catalog show the Varmint model being the same stock on it as the American, except it has the larger barrel channel. The rifle is the same, with the exception of the heavier varmint contour and it has a slightly longer barrel. It comes in 17 Hornet, 204 R & 223 Rem.
You can get their Varmint MTR model, with has a more ergonomic shaped stock and it comes in 223 Rem or 6.5 Grendel and is threaded for a suppressor.
They all are wood stocks.
