Default Howa Mini Trigger Options

Had the HACT trigger working well but it has gone wacky all of a sudden, plus I would really prefer a single stage trigger anyway. Can some of you share your experience with replacement triggers. Thanks, Joe

On a couple of my 1500's I went with a Jard. Very nice, and you can set the adjustment for release as you want. Rifle Basix is another good one. Bill K

( If you don't want to spend more money on others.)

Thanks Bill, didn't know if there were any others besides Timney. How light will the JARD go reliably?

I have one on a 22-250 that has been set, light at 12oz, for over a couple years now and it stays put.

I was under the impression the Howa Mini trigger was different than the full size 1500/Vanguard triggers?

The lady I talked to at Timney said she thought that the mini took a Weatherby Vanguard trigger. JARD shows a different trigger listing for the mini. I am leaning towards the JARD with 9 - 16 oz setting.

That is also what Timney told me a couple of years ago.

Oregunsmithing had done a special order of Timney triggers for the Mini Howa to his specs, topic covered on 65Grendel forum bolt action rifle subforum. I don't know what all the modifications entails, but my sense is the Timney for the Mini is different than the full size action.

Email or landline the company and ask if it will work or what they have available for the Mini, then you will have the direct information and can order.
