Default Background check

Those of you in Colorado, Biden/Harris and other anti-gun, anti-2nd Amendment folks are calling for back ground checks to stop the murdering of others, like this recent one in Boulder.
I believe Colorado, does not have a waiting period, but does it not have a background check, in the form of a phone call to ATF, prior to the sale of a firearm there ?
If so, then this criminal must have passed it, to have been able to purchase the Ar pistol he used, right ?

Background checks are required on all sales that go thought a FFL, no exceptions anywhere in the US, some states require them on individual sales as well. No idea what Colorado's law is.

Colorado has a back ground check on all sales thru a FFL. No waiting period required,
but may take a day or two, depending on back log of applicants.

I think the system has a few flaws in it.... , not sure if the background check is a good thing if they don't update there system to contain info that they are associated with someone on the watchlist...FBI might not share the info. Only hurts law abiding people when they make mistakes with proposing more gun laws and hoops to jump thru to own guns.

My point is that Colorado, the question I asked was really to bring to attention, that FFL/ATF require a background check already ( Federal law) which Biden and the anti's don't seem to know or understand, when they call for background checks again, with this criminal act of murder/s.
They keep harping on more gun control, when they can't even enforce the present laws on criminals, but keep infringing on legal and lawful citizens, who are not breaking the laws already on the books.
And they don't seem to want to punish the criminal, especially those that murder or injure another human with any weapon, by swift capital punishment when they do kill. " A eye for a eye" is what it will take to slow down the killings, but they just will not do that and punish the criminals.
As for a waiting period, not matter if it a 10 day or a few hours, after the background check, that is not a bother or concern either for a criminal bent on doing a unlawful act.
These politicians just can not seem to fathom that. And are just hell bent on taking down the 2nd Amendment and other rights of the lawful citizens of the USA.

Seems like the proper thing to do is "Get Rid Of The Left Wing Liberal Politicians"!! (thinking that will NEVER happen in California) They sure as hell ARN'T working for WE THE PEOPLE.
The bad thing is? We The People elected them. Look ashamed. Look VERY ashamed.
When they pass a 500 page bill without reading it before voting on it, why not slip in a little "Term limits"? They'll never know what hit them. It works both ways.
Background checks? Not a problem in California. Just something you have to deal with. Better than no guns at all.
Why is it that the GOOD GUYS have to take the blame for the actions of the BAD GUYS?

The "background check" legislation is nothing more than an anti gun bill. Background checks would include psychological reviews(by 2 doctors) and checks of any individuals at the same address, and registration of previously purchased firearms. Everything you need to know is that 50 democrat senators voted AGAINST amendments that would have prevented convicted murderers, rapists, and child molesters from getting taxpayer stimulus checks. That's right the democrats are giving taxpayer money to prisoners. Why would anyone ever voted for a democrat?

I have no problem with background checks either. Something we do deal with and it is not a issue, to do so.
My issue is that politicians and so many ignorant people blame the gun for the crime and not the person, when a gun is involved and want to ban them.
Yet when others are killed, by other means more than with guns, let's use motor vehicles for a example, it is the person or persons, and not the brand or style of motor vehicle that did it and no mention is made to ban that vehicle brand/type or all the rest of them.
They just can not get their minds around the true nature of the crime and who/what the criminal element is. And that is the person/s not the tool.
