a little late
Having owned and sold most all of the 17's over 10 years ago I need a little advice on a round that used to be one of my favorite in the little 38 Cooper. I had a super accurate 17 Ack Hornet that I let get away many years ago---when Dan was still at Cooper. I see now it is a factory round and would like some input.
1. Does anyone besides CZ and Ruger chamber for the round 2. Is is here to stay So few chamber for the round and fewer load the round commercially. Kinda scary as I will not be reloading again. Too old and too tired, just like to shoot the round. Thanks in advance Brooks |

Without looking Brooks, to make sure, I believe CZ & Ruger have the 17 HH and not the Ackley version, unless it is special order. That is what my CZ is anyway. ( 17 HH) Bill K |

I believe Bill is correct.

Hey Bill, thanks for the info. Is your CZ pretty accurate and do you think this 17 will become a hand-loading round sooner than later?
Thanks again, Brooks |

I like my 17 Ackley Hornets, but if I came across a 527 American in 17 Hornady Hornet I would just shoot it as it was.

This 17 HH is pretty darn deadly all the way to 250-300 yrds. I also have a TC contender with a 16 1/4 inch barrel in 17 HH and it is one good shooter, also. |

there was one here in the classifieds but appears that the seller has taken it off to place on auction. if you hurry he may be talked into selling here. don't know but might be worth a try.
