You didn't ask about Lil-Gun but I just finished developing loads with this powder along with 20gr VMAX bullets in my new CZ 527 Varmint 17 Hornet. Got some tiny little groups (0.25") with 10 gr Lil-Gun at 3890 fps average muzzle velocity. The high was 3925 fps and the low was 3843 fps. This has been the best load with Lil-Gun accuracy wise w/o any signs of excessive pressure. Of course, all guns are different and starting loads for other guns should be lower.

I finally found some A1680 and have some loads ready to test as soon as time and weather permits.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well the factory Hornady 20 gr VMAX ammo shot, i.e., less than half inch at 3733 fps average velocity. The high velocity was 3761 fps and low was of 3702 fps.

Brad, at CRT has been promoting A2200 for a while, and it is working very well, one of the best, in the 17-20 calibers. Some criticize it, but it works super. FPS and Safe pressure, just work up loads. Bill K

my first test load using lil-gun yielded me an awesome result. I've got 1680, but I need to do more testing with it because I haven't found the accuracy that I want with it yet.

Several powders have been good in my guns. For several years it was W680, then I switched to AA1680......good stuff, accurate with 20's@3650 and clean the gun about every 400-500rds whether it needs it or not. There's never any copper. More consistently accurate in one rifle is AA2200 with groups about .3" with 3 different loads over a 1/2gr span.... but no chrono and I don't know the velocity, my feeling is it's probably less than the 1680. A really good one is VV120, groups in the .3"s to .4"and velocity well over 3800.

This is a 17AH......barrel 20", no freebore, BR4 primer.
