RIng while I don't have any experience in casting or shooting of lead bullets, I do find it an intriguing subject if only for the fact it would sure make some cartridges a little more user friendly on small game. A while back I did some research on cast bullet loads for for my .22 Hornet but have not gotten far as of yet. I did find a website that is predominately centered around the subject. Google "castboolits" and check them out for any advice or answers to your questions. Good luck, Dave.

I talked with NEO today . I am in Md. fishing now and when I get home I will try to get the twist of my rifle . HE and me do not think a 10 twist will stabilize that bullet . I do not know is a 9 will . I will look into it more when I am home .

Lesse here:

Noe says: diameter .172", length .559" and weight 32grains.

Add that here (+1800fps) and you get:
http://www.bergerbullets.com/twist-rate-calculator/

1:10" SG=1.28
1:9" SG=1.58

In a 1:10" barrel you have to go past 2250+ fps for SG to get near 1.4 and full stability.

RIng you rotten bugger

I just had to buy a mould and try in my 17HH.
QL says it takes just 1.1grain of powder to get it supersonic
Fun is in the making, cant wait.

I have a 17 REM Tikka built by Finnish retards drunk on god only knows what so it has a 1:10" twist.
What i intend to use it in is a CZ527 17HH with a 1:9" twist.

It should be right on the nose at SG=1,40 from a 1:9" barrel going 1100fps.

When the mould gets here i can cast a handfull and mail to you.

Subsonic in the 17 squirrel is:
Below 1 grain og RED DOT
Right at 1 grain SOLO 1000 and CLAYS
And a whopping 1.4grain TrailBoss
