591 magazine for schroeder centerfire brass
Does anyone know of a magazine for the 591 Remington that will hold the centerfire brass. I got some Schroeder brass finally but the rim is too large to fit inside the lips of a factory mag. I was wondering if the trekker mags would work. Or does anyone know of another option.

I have two Model 591 magazines and they both hold and feed my Schroeder brass just fine. I will say that my brass is very early 2000 stuff, so maybe its changed since then.

Ditto what Hal said. Maybe need to measure the rim diameter and see if it got turned down enough?

My thoughts too, Gary.
spook, if you push one into the rifle chamber will it seat fully or is the rim so large that it won't chamber fully? You might take a couple of Schroeder cases and roll them between some fine sand paper against the rim in your fingers to see how much needs to be taken off. I'm betting if they chamber OK that its not a lot to get them in the magazine. Just a thought.......... -BCB
